UK question: Anyone know the best options for recording TV shows for later viewing?

I’ve never had this problem before…but I need to find a way to record some television shows. I have Sky already and it seem that it will cost me up to £200 to get Sky Plus with installation. That seems a bit high when I don’t watch a lot of TV.

Are there any other options to record TV shows? Do they have Tivo here? I suppose it’s about the same price.

If anyone has used a system and found it to be practical….please let me know. Thanks!
