I don’t believe in heaven. But, I do try to be good in the event that there is a heaven. Hedging my bet.

And If I have to worship something/someone to get somewhere the odds are pretty good that I don’t want to be in that place.

If there is a heaven and living my life the best I can isn’t an acceptable pass for entry maybe I should be someplace else.

Depends, on how credible you think the bible is.

even if you live your life by the Word of G-d, just being all good and dandy doesn’t “get you into Heaven”
hence my answer, “no.”

Good works will not get you into heaven!

no—God is just. You break his laws = your gulity. The only way is to have Jesus as your defense. See Ephesians 2:8–9 in any bible.

In response to your comment,” you don’t believe in heaven” do you believe in hell?

ovy's avatar

No, being good only will not grant you eternal life in heaven.

I believe that God loves everyone and forgives everyone who honestly does the best he can.

I also believe that, given what Jesus said in Matthew 6:1–8, that God doesn’t much care for people who make a big show of their faith by proselytizing in inappropriate places.

I believe when we are truly “being” we are in heaven and will be there as well after we die.
The rest is just show!

All depends on perspective. . .one persons ‘good’ is anothers ‘bad’. Same goes for heaven, wouldn’t want to end up in somebody elses heaven, I’d probably hate it!
