Okay what does "shamoe" mean?
So I was just recently listening to my favorite song in like the whole world. When I looked up the lyrics it had the word shamoe in it. What does shamoe mean? I mean from what I can infer from the song, I thought it meant some type of prophylactic or material thing. It’s basically like a feel good old g’ type of song. The lyrics are below and so is the video. The word is in the chorus.
here’s a link to the song/video

Not sure about “shamoe”, but, :sha-mon” by Jacko meant come on, I think.
<<sings>> “Heee heee.. Woah!” <<grabs crotch>>
I don’t know about “shamoe,” but “schmoo” was a strange lil creature with no arms from the cartoon “Lil Abner” by Al Capp several years ago. Calling someone a “schmoo” was saying they were kind of weak-minded and goofy.
It’s probably what @jjmah said or….it’s a killer whale at SeaWorld….he’s quite popular,you know!
@CaptainHarley: Time sure flies when you’re having fun. Al Capp’s Schmoo showed up in 1948 for a few years.
Wow, I was listening to “Man In The Mirror” just today!
@jjmah Not to sound like an annoying MJ fan, but why use the term “Jacko”? It’s a disrespectful pet name the media gave him.
Not sure about “shamoe” but perhaps it’s related to the Shamwow!
@lucillelucillelucille was scrolling down to say “It’s Shamoo” and you already said it!!! Shamoo splashed me with saltwater once…dang it stung like hell :P
Shamoe is capitalized. Maybe it’s a reference to a real person.
@gailcalled, I’m sure they made an appearance in the fifties or maybe the sixties. I remember them clearly in the strip, and I wasn’t reading in 1948.
@frigate1985 -My brother got “kissed’ by him before,He said it felt like a steak—my brother made out with a whale HS!!—
@lucillelucullelucille Now I heard of interracial marriage, I NEVER heard of interspecies marriage lmao!!
I always thought this was Shamoe. Before he legally got his name changed.
@gailcalled
I prefer to consider myself having become wise. “Old” is what people are who were born before I was! : D
It’s something evil a lurkin’ in the da-a-ark
