Why is there no such thing as a wild cow?

There's wild almost everything else - horses, cats, canines, pigs...

Meet the auroch, the wild ancestor of the cow.

Cows were slowly domesticated to be domestic animals over 10,000 yrs or so; and, altho I am no farmer, I would speculate that the modern cow wouldn't thrive on its own.
