On Fluther, is there a way to underline something? I would think the textile markup system would have a way.

Is there a way that I’ve some how missed? If not, I suggest to Bendrew that you guys make one.

The only way I know of underlining text would be to attach a hyperlink to it. Doing that will make the text red and underline it as well.
Sorry I can’t be of more help. Just another thing to put on the “Fluther Wish List”.

I do not know of any way. Perhaps the Fluther gods will see your question and answer it.

edit:: that didn’t work.

Nope.

Besides, underlining is just a relic of the typewriter age. You don’t really want it.

AstroChuck's avatar

Hey. I still own a typewriter. @andrew, what are you trying to say?

Jeruba's avatar

I’d like that feature too.

It’s a relic of the typewriter age in that it is a device for representing italics in typescript. If type is being set from a typewritten manuscript, it’s an instruction to the printer that means “set this in italics.” But it has evolved other uses. I’m not shy about using italics and bold on fluther, but I wish for it here at least once a week.

I know it’s not exactly needed, but it would be nice. Either that or a way to make text different colors.

jrpowell's avatar

I would like to give a giant FUCK NO PLEASE to allowing different colored text.

AstroChuck's avatar

I’d like to second that. Although underlined text would be nice.

marinelife's avatar

@andrew Umm, I would like it. (Raises hand)

@marinelife- For God’s sake, girl! Shave those pits!

Sorry everyone. No underline. Underline means link.

@augustlan- Agreed. Too bad you couldn’t have underlined that statement.
