What's the mantra or phrase that keeps you sane?
I have a couple phrases that I use when I’m having a bad day or trouble coping with life. I remind myself that I am a work in progress. Also, that the universe is all about balance. For everything bad that happens, something good must follow. It’s not always immediate, but it’s about faith. Are there any positive affirmations that you use to keep your chin up?

This, too, shall pass, and, It all works out in the end.
Pain is weakness leaving the body
@Bronny You’re nuts, lol! Where did you hear that one?
If it’s a necessary hardship, I remind myself why I’m still doing it, why it’s worth it.
If it’s a shitty day for no reason whatsoever, I copy @Symbeline.
I’m in the military. :) It got me thru bootcamp.
Want to add: The quote itself was actually etched into one of the bathroom stalls. That was my first exposure. I was about halfway through boot, when it was really starting to get tough, and just kept saying it in my head over and over and over. It got me to sleep at night. It kept me running when I sprained my ankle. It helped me graduate with honors, and the highest fitness scores for the females. There is a lot of power behind that saying. Use it with determination.

Very good, I’m going to use it!!
@faye : it won’t fail you if you believe it!
It’s okay, the bitch is dead.
om bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ
tát savitúr váreṇyam
bhárgo devásya dhīmahi
dhíyo yó naḥ pracodáyāt
@Master translate please? unfortunately googletranslator does not do yoruba.
I am feeling homicidal – your presence is exacerbating that feeling.
“Be nice”
Also, “lips together, teeth apart”, my dentist taught this one to me because I was clenching my jaw.
“Row, row, row your boat…...”
“The pain is only temporary…!”
“You lost everything, why are you smiling?” – “If that’s the worst, I have got a reason to smile!”
Just take it easy ;-)
Crisis is the mother of invention and this applies to personal crises too. You need bad days to grow and become a happier person long term.
“I am an Island of peace & serenity!”
“No one ever said that life would be easy. They just said that it would be worth it.”
“Shit happens….. & just keeps on happening!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t remember any of this once I’m six feet under.” Always gets me through. It really does.
Illegitimi non carborundum
“Never Judge A Book By Looking At Its Cover”. this was my mental phrase daily in police work. just because a person is loaded with tattoos, just because a man has long hair, just because some guy has to keep pulling up his pants, just because a womans hair is every color of the rainbow, just because this person is cussing me out, just because this person belongs to a biker gang, and just because this woman has just killed her children, i first tell myself…....“Never Judge A Book By Looking At Its Cover”.
The only reason you’re still alive is because I don’t want to go to jail.
@Dr Dredd—Yes, but it’s not what it used to be.
What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.
“They will come against you but will not overcome you. For I am with you and will rescue you, declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 1:19
Don’t take it personally. Nope, not that, either.
@Bronny That is the Gayatri Mantra.
It translates: “We meditate on the glory of that Being who has produced this universe; may He enlighten our minds.”
I’ve waited a while to add this one. With, or without, its association to the Marine Corps, it says volumes, and is a profoundly honorable approach to life.
