How do you get stickers off of paper?

Asked by shpadoinkle_sue (7188points) February 26th, 2010

I just bought a bunch of movies from a Hollywood Video store that’s closing. Some have the section location sticker at the top that tells where it was in the store. Does anyone know of a way that I can get the sticker off of the paper cover without damaging it?

I use eucalyptus oil. It dissolves the glue without damaging glossy paper like a book cover,

Using patience, and a razor blade. Watch your fingers! Also, you can use a tiny bit of WD40 on a cloth to get the stickyness off.

Grab it and rip it off as hard as you can.

A little bit of vegetable, or olive oil on a rag.

I am late with the answer so if none of the above work, try heating with a hair dryer, that works to remove pricing stickers. Or to remove stamps I would put the envelope in the freezer for a while.

Maybe one of those ideas will do the trick for you.
