Are you asking for homework help?

Glambertx's avatar

yes to gain a basic understanding of what is happening

Sadly, I don’t know anything about weather maps. It’s just helpful for others to know why you’re asking. We won’t actually do your homework, but if you just need some guidance, that’s cool.

That’s so cheap to post your homework questions. no one’s going to do it for you, you know, but the people here are always willing to help you out if you need some assistance; don’t take advantage of their generosity

Looks to me like the wind is shifting towards the right of the photo. You should move everything off of that side of your desk. It will calm down in the next 24 hours though so don’t be scared. There might be some action from the back section on one of those islands…The island people can get a little crazy.

Google is an amazing thing; have you heard about it? Weather Map Symbols

Those fronts haven’t matured yet, so it will turn into bad weather, and there’s a strong pressure gradient on the right so that will mean high winds.

So that thingy in your pic is pretty much an Eastbound cold front over Englandland.
