What's the meaning of "Blue Harvest" in the Family Guy Star Wars episode?

that was the code name for Return of the Jedi so it wouldn’t get out that they were filming the third star wars film

“Blue Harvest” was the working title of Star wars before the name had been finalised.Another bit of trivia R2D2 comes from the label on a can of film Roll 2 day2.

and originally Lucas wanted to name it “the Star Wars”

…and wanted to call RoTJ “Revenge of the Jedi.” He also wanted Luke’s name o be “Luke Starkiller,” if I remember correctly.

@Johntomo: Actually R2D2 comes from how reels were labeled for editing to match recordings of voice with the film to sych it up. R2D2 actually means Reel 2 Dialog 2.

I saw it on a special where Lucas admits stuff like this in a kind of “making of” of the whole 6 movies
