Yankee visitor asks, “What’s a steampunk? ”
The latest fashion craze inspired by objects from the industrial revolution.
It’s actually been a popular sci-fi fantasy look for quite a while.
I used to call it “Retro-Tech”. Now they call it SteamPunk
Wow. Talk about performance art. I like that style in film.
@ShiningToast
We get to share a Kudos Bar for not being lazy enough to pick the first Goog search.
This style has been around for decades. I believe it was first popularized by old classic video games like Myst
BTW… I make my living as a fashion photographer. Recently had an assignment to produce a Steampunk editorial but had to cancel the project because no stylist was found that could produce the look to my satisfaction. It is very intricate and must be done properly to pull it off. I can’t do it… I’m not a sylist.

Good Call!
Well, all steampunk definitions aside, anyone got an answer? :)
@Zavage I do not. If I were you, I would check out some steampunk forums. Sorry I can’t help any more than that.
Your best bet is to browse the antique shops and junkyards… honestly
SteamPunk is an accessories game.
I know this thread is old – but as with you, Google failed me, and this is the best lead I have so far. I am going to Paris for a week end and I am looking for Steampunk bracelets/watches and possibly cloths (shirt, vest, trousers) over there. Did you find anything worth checking out? Thanks
