I’ve wondered that as well. I’ve also wondered who was the guy who thought that breaking open a chicken’s egg and putting the gooey sulfuric contents in a cake would make it better.
(I hate eggs and do not eat them outside of baked goods). :P
And who first looked at a lobster and said, “I bet if we boil that up and crack it open and serve it with butter and lemon, it’ll taste great”?
By the way, @iseewavesinme, that was a pretty good guess, but milk was discovered by the Chinese over 3,000 years ago. It was Cowfuscius who thought of it first.
Probably a woman, actually, who noticed that the calf suckled much like her own child, and thought perhaps during some hungry time, it might be worth a try.
My neighbor Steve.He’s that way…
It may well have been the guy who had a little sample of his lactating wife’s product and thought the same coming from the cow might be a good year round substitute after the kids are weaned?
Just a guess:)
But Laureth’s answer is probably more accurate :D
I am more intrigued at who s/he first told and what their reaction was.
@Symbeline – Of course! See ya’ at the next GROSS meeting… :-p
@HungryGuy You’re gonna have to sing the six proper verses to “An Ode to Symbeline” before I let you up in the clubhouse. :D
@Symbeline – I’ll just lure Hobbes away from you with some tuna :-p
@HungryGuy I’ll get girl germs all over him through cuddling. :D
