Other than topics about the year MMXII and its predicted events, what other topics have been hackneyed on Fluther to the point that the mods no longer allow new questions over them?
Recently, (a) mod(s) pushed a MMXII-related question back to editing because s/he/they said there have been over 100 questions about MMXII.
Well, what other topics would be too hackneyed on Fluther to be left alone?

I would vote Sarah Palin questions to be forbidden by Fluther.
I would say questions about girlfriend/boyfriend relationships, but I guess they each have their own story and slight differences.
Also, homework questions. Yes, they are each about a different problem, but there have been so many that it does get a little annoying.
I would add questions on Muslim women refusing body scans at airports to the list.
masturbation should probably be one.. . . hmmmm… you think it should be asked on Fluther whether the topic should be shunned?
Maybe, a cap on how many NSFW questions that a jelly can post per day.
(I’m kidding).
Although, for some, that’s all that they seem to be posting.
I’m no prude, though, just so you know…
@HTDC How could I forget?
The ones that start with, “Okay, me and Alex looked at each other yesterday, dose that mean somehting, his g/f is my best freind. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve just received word that this question has been moved to the “Meta” category. Why, and what’s that?
@gailcalled Exactly, that’s what I’m saying! Those should send an instant chatroom flag to the mods.
And here is one for today already.
@erichw1504: Just cut and paste what I wrote. I am off to live my life today. We actually have sun and melting snow.
“What is the point and/or significance of lurve?”
Ughhh.
It wouldn’t be fair to forbid questions that have been asked a lot of times before. Eventually all those questions fade away, with many people (like new people) having never seen them.
I say anything brought to you by the letter “N” and the vowel “O”.
I don’t know about banning questions, but I’m beginning to have fun with them. A very helpful and tech-savvy jelly made a grease monkey script for several different commonly used phrases. Now whenever “2012” appears in fluther i changes to “STFU”. An annoying and over-used catch phrase has been changed to “I might be stupid”.
These things that used to annoy the hell out of me now bring a smile to my face. :)
@gailcalled Glad to hear that! We’re having a perfect day and thinking about your snow was ruining it for me! I was feeling guilty! :)
Way back when the iPhone first came out, we did have to stop allowing “jailbreak” questions… there were tons of them already in the archives to peruse.
It is gloriously warm in Alberta right now, sweater weather though we still have a foot of snow on the yard.
I’m so glad to read that many questions are sent back or refused. It makes Fluther a much more enjoyable place to be.
See why we had to stop allowing them? :P
@augustlan Umm hummm! And I still don’t even know what it is! But that’s OK.
@Val123 I think it has to do with “unlocking” the phone so it can be used on other phone networks, but I’m not entirely sure myself!
@augustlan That makes sense…I always wondered how to get around that myself, and I worked in the industry for four years! I think it sucks that they “flash” the phones, period.
