Why there's no advertisement in fluther?

I saw many similar site with abundant of advertisements. And how come there’s no advertisement in fluther?. Is that because fluther consider about its user’s satisfaction or because no sponsor wants to advertise here?.

I don’t know why there are no advertisements. I am glad there are none. I wonder how it is possible. How does Fluther make money? Or was is it created and maintained purely for our enjoyment?

@Doctor_D yeah, AB is all about advertisement and the site is a wreck.

@stranger_in_a_strange_land is correct. If you visit the site without logging in, there are advertisements.

I love it that there is no advertisements. Too much of a temptation for me.

I use Ad Block Plus, so there aren’t any ads for me whether I’m logged in or not.

I pleased not to be bothered with advertisements. You’re not suggesting that we get some are you?

Members don’t see the ads. Casual web surfers and lurkers get hit with plenty of ads.

I love it the way it is. Too many distractions when there are adverts.

Membership means no ads, given you contribute. After all, we supply the content. They supply the design and management.

If you use the search box in the upper right hand corner to search the site for a tag, say “tennis”, then at the top of the list for questions that include the term “tennis” you get a listing of google ads that relate to tennis.
