Is the Canon Vixia HF S10 already set to HD?

I am new to the camcorder thus I don’t know if it is or not.
Well I have recorded a test clip and I’ve uploaded it to YouTube to see if the quality is HD or not when I’ve done that I watched the video but it didn’t really seem to be in HD. It’s duff, so I was wondering how do you set it or something like that.
