As a kid, did you have to endure unusual punishment?

Would your punishment be considered cruelty to children today? Did other kids you knew of suffer the same punishment? My worst experience, besides my Step dad’s razor strap to the palms of my hands, was the soap in the mouth to cleanse out that trash talk she would say.

My desk was put in a dark furnace room, and me in it for a couple of months.

I said the F-word, in grade 2, and had to swallow a mouthful of sunlight dish soap where they couldn’t find any bar soap.
