I have never heard of Ardvark, and its front page doesn’t tell me much about what the site is all about.
…That alone makes Fluther better.
Fluther is better. Why? Because I say it is.
Seriously. Just look around. Look at the quality of questions (yes, I know not all the questions are great.) and responses on Fluther. Compare and tell me how you don’t come to the same conclusion.
Also, Aardvark doesn’t have me. That alone makes Fluther the superior site.
I don’t see any comparison. The Aardvark start page mentions something about Open Source and has a log-in window—bleh! It wouldn’t let me go to the forum without registering, and I’ve already registered to a slew of Q&A sites, and I’m not really interested in joining any others. Maybe if they, at least, listed the current Q&A on the start page so visitors could get a sense of the content, they may lure me in…
@HTDC – Ah! Now that looks like a Q&A site! I’m stil not interested, though. I’m already registered on too many time-eating Q&A sites. So, which one is better, I guess, depends on whether you want to live in the woods or under the sea…
Aardvark used to be better, because it was invitation only, and there were fewer users. Once it got opened up to the public, with little to no moderation, it went downhill.
