Did you try steel wool?

Saturate the area with a solvent using gloves to protect your hands and a cotten ball, and rub off the paint. Some good ones to try are nail polish remover or Goo Gone paint remover.

Soaking it in hot water helps remove paper labels that are glued on (e.g. pasta sauce labels on jars). If it’s painted on, it probably depends on the type of paint- I’m not sure I’ve seen a painted label that could be removed.

i tired steel wool and a knife to scrape it off. no luck. was hoping there is a chemical of some sort that is known to work..

rubbing alcohol? there’s that weird gunk-be-gone but i think that’s just for paper

That’s a toughie, I was going to say steel wool, but you just said it didn’t work. Could you maybe rub it with a rough stone like pumice?

rubbed with everything. spoke with some people at the local brewstore they recommended some stuff called StarSan. its 20$ for 32oz bottle. gotta soak it in that stuff for 48 hours and then apply acetone and then rub it off. sooo much work. wasnt tryin to spend so much money on this but it seems like its the only way. damn it.

Acetone might work.

Second acetone, nail polish remover, paint thinner, or any other solvent that is recommended for use on paint.

Lacquer thinner. It’s pricey, but it would work.

Liquid lighter fluid (for zippos) and kleenex. Works on almost anything, just don’t smoke too sonn after.
