My local disk icon just changed, i don't know how or why. Please help me.

WOW! Never seen that happen! I doubt it’s serious, but it might be a good idea to check a microsoft forum.

Good news: its’s not life threatening – it’s fixable. The guy here had the same problem. People gave him solutions. See if it helps….good luck.

Everest, give it a rest. If you want to start giving people grief based on their writing style, start with yourself.

You can always change it by right click the icon, go properties,somewhere there, you can navigate to choose what ever icon you like.

Try changing the folder view to Details, then back to Icons.

never mind… i have solved it.
it came out that, when i deleted `vista drive icon` from program files, it didn’t have the time to restore the default icons.

when i installed then uninstalled it, it is now back to normal

i also did try, `restore all folders` in the tools/folder option/view; restoring the icon in tools/folder options/ file types; also tried tweakUI; and ssooooo much more.
