What is there to do in Boston on a rainy day?

Asked by sliceswiththings (11723points) March 11th, 2010

I’ll be in Boston this weekend, and it looks like it’s going to rain. What can two broke students do? We’re not really into paying $25 for the museums. So far just the Omni theater at the science museum is on the agenda.

(Also, if anyone has seen any of the Omni movies playing, reviews would be nice.)

You can ride the T and people watch. That’s surprisingly fun.

Also, if you were going to go to a museum, I highly recommend the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, just for the museum space. It’s lovely. One of my favorite museums of all time.

I wouldn’t stay away from Harvard Square just because it’s raining. But you do have to cross the river from Boston to Cambridge. The part where the subway crosses the Charles is my favorite part of riding the T.

I second the Isabela Stewart Gardner museum. My favorite place in Boston.

Isabella Gardner Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, tour the state house, tour the USS constitution, Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, etc. The omni movies are great, btw.

I just realized the weekend in question has passed. Oh well, hopefully someone else can learn from this ˆ.
