How do I log off of facebook so someone else can log on on my computer?

Asked by JLeslie (65790points) March 13th, 2010

When I go to facebook on my computer it automatically just asks me for my password, no user name. My husband wants to be able to use my computer when we travel, but there seems to be no way for him to look at his facebook. I assume there is a way for me to log off or set my facebook so that does not happen? But, I cannot figure it out.

Perhaps just do a search for face book as opposed to going to the log on screen. “Face book login”. You should arrive at the general face book tag. Once opened it should open to both user name and login.

In the top right corner of the page there is an ‘Account’ menu, click it and a menu will expand down. At the bottom of that menu is the ‘logout’ button.

You might want to set up separate accounts and use fast user switching. That way you don’t need to deal with all the bullshit. In five seconds you can switch between what seems like two separate computers. All your open applications are saved. It is really nice.
