why don't 'mediums' or psychics predict winning lottery numbers?

they profess to be able to see into the future, so why not get rich the easy way instead of charging extortionate amounts for so called readings to gullable and vulnerable people?

Maybe the actual mediums and psychics already are, and it’s only the fraudulent mediums and psychics who are preying on the gullible.
Because they would be wrong and loose credibility
if I had that ability I would either recognize the danger of using my gift for gain, in that means or I would do the lottery myself and never share the info… The latter being the likely choice.
Because there’s no such thing as a psychic and it’s all fraudulent.
also… I wanted to commend you for asking a question that seems fitting for Fluther.
because they’re all f*cking frauds.
There is has never been and probably never will be a true psychic or medium. Only con artist using parlor tricks or “cold reading” techniques. I strongly recommend you check out www.randi.org for some very enlightening info.
there are mediums that are truly gifted. You’ll just never hear about them and they aren’t fans of “crossing over.”
Is there any proof of this? (i.e. evidence, not just hearsay and conjecture.)
Of course not, if there was none of us would have this conversation.
It’s individual and it’s based on what you choose to see. No one is interested in the truth, only the perception.
There’s evidence, but as yet it’s impossible to conclusively say it’s the result of psychic powers and not just being really good at guessing and reading people’s reactions.

They may not be able to see the future is such detail as we are led to believe. I think if they can even see the future at all it is only small spurts of information which they use basic guidelines of interpretation to give the client an answer that sometimes very open ended.
