There are plenty of people in Cincinnati thought of as hillbillies.

Cause there are hills, and everyone is named Billy?

The socially acceptable term for hillbillies is Appalachian. Here’s a little information on Appalachians in Cincinnati.

@Snarp I resemble that remark!

I live 30 minutes west of Cincinnati on the ohio/Indiana state line. We refer, in jest, those in Northern Kentucky as Hillbillies, only because in our realm, it’s a loving joke.
However, West by God Virginia, Tennessee, different story.

Because then we have room for Rednecks.

That’s where the media goes for TV interviews after tornadoes. The country has an opportunity to see this segment of the population pretty often.

Because the hillbillies in other states claiming this don’t know that Kentucky and Tennessee got urban areas as well and that people in rural areas are very well informed.

It helps to discourage those stuck-up citified people from visiting if they think we get our corn from a jar !!!!!
