I feel bad that I'm Burned/Tanned, But it's impossible to not be tanned if you work and are male, right?
Hey guys. I don’t go to the beach to get tanned on purpose, and i don’t use tanning salons.
But anyways. Although I’m not heavily burned myself, I live in California and I’m a guy.
I used to run outside when i was age 13 to age 24 without any protection because i didn’t think about it. Also i used to and still do gardening work or something outside.
Although some girls like Asian girls from Asia seem to not get tanned at all , they use beauty products and also cover themselves with umprebllas etc. I’m a guy and have to work or something. I can’t be protecting myself all the time.
But anyway. I feel bad because i’m tanned( alittle too much) even though i dont go to the beach on purpose or get tanned on purpose.I don’t know but i always wear a hat and cover myface with myhand when i dont have a hat. but it doesn’t seem to work.
I feel bad, but due to living in a hot state , should i just accept it because it is almost imposbbie not to be tanned?
im male in my 30s

Are you concerned about health or looks? It’s hard to tell by your question.
I can’t help but notice that you didn’t mention sunblock. Wear sunblock, man. Your skin and possibly your health will thank you for it.
Why do you feel bad about it?
How is it impossible to not be tanned and work?
I’m an Asian girl and was super tan (even though I always used SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapplied constantly because I spent a lot of time outdoors) until I started working, upon which I was stuck indoors all the time and proceeded to get pretty pale. I live in Hawaii, which is an even “hotter” state than California (I think that San Diego is cold!) and there are plenty of people that live here that are pale because they never go outside. I think I just contradicted everything you said.
What you’re saying makes absolutely no sense at all.
It’s possible to work and not be tanned, regardless of one’s gender.
You should be using sunscreen. You’re a prime candidate for skin cancer.
What @PandoraBoxx said.
But beyond the health concerns, there’s nothing wrong with being tan. Or with having callouses, or scars, or any of the other things that come with outdoorsy stuff. If nothing else, they show that you’re not afraid of work.
If you’re worried about your appearance, consider: wedged in the back of the human psyche is the notion that tan = healthy. Thus, you can find workday cave dwellers who spend lots of money to be painted tan colors, possibly between botox injections. You get yours free, and it’s not orange or anything.
A bit off topic, but I thought I’d add that I personally like Asian girls from Asia, much better than the Asian girls from Antarctica, or some other random continent.
hahahahaha…....its okay. You can be tanned, there is no law against it…..
Hmmm, I lived on the Costa del Sol for 5yrs & once the novelty of hot weather wore off I found it fairly easy not to tan excessively….. However, it’s nothing to feel bad about!
