I visited with a company to teach English there for 6months, and I have to say that it was brilliant.

I would go with a group of like-minded people, preferably new people as the whole experience is so far removed from my regular life that I would say it is better shared with new people all of whom are in the same boat.

There is no best way, it all depends on how you like to travel. I have never been one for group travel, I prefer to travel solo or with my family and I never hire tour guides. I prefer to do my own research and make my own decisions about what I want to see and do. I also like the ability to be spontaneous. And sometimes what I like to do is just wander around a place and not focus on any tourist sights.

Have your employer send you. That way your expenses are covered.
