Just do your own homework.
Art isn’t about someone creating for you.

@lucillelucillelucille I think the asker is doing two things right:

1. Looking for ideas
2. Admitting it’s an assignment

I’ve been artistically blocked before, it sucks. I had a watercolor assignment I’d been working on for the entire time, and couldn’t get it right. Eventually it hit me as a flash and I got it….

@grumpyfish-I work as an artist.I have had blocks before.I don’t expect anyone to create for me.I do my own work.Always.

I’m not crazy about the way this assignment is worded. Unless the teacher explained it to you more in class, it’s kind of vague. By mass she probably means showing depth or 3-d objects. Grid-based compositions kind of lend themselves more to 2-d compositions because they’re based on repetition- you’re dividing up one large square into smaller, repeating squares. It’s harder to show detail.

A cityscape with 3-d buildings would probably work. Drawing with perspective will help you make 3-d objects.

Ok, this is what you do…
Get a big plate. Cover it with nacho chips. Arrange on on top, CUBED cheese. Sprinkle with your favorite “objects”. Bring that and a microwave into class.

Then when you show your art. Place in microwave and turn on.

Does the grid have to be square? Can it be hexagonal—i.e., lines crossing at 60-degree angles?

Have you done any artist studies leading up to this assignment?

I don’t think we’re going to get a response from this new member. Have a feeling the homework was due yesterday. Joining Fluther was a last second attempt at prompting creative motivation.

This is the last we’ll hear from @justanswerthequestion.

@RealEyesRealizeRealLies Nono, you need to ask that in a different question.
