If I turn my neck a certain way ( not always the same way ) I get a shooting pain up into my skull. PAINFULL!

See a doctor…. seriously even with suggestions you might get here there is no telling what it could be 100% over the internet. I would see a doctor.

Trapped nerve? I have experienced a similar feeling before, although only once in a while.

Thanks, could be a nerve thing. It does not happen all of the time with me either.
Stress will bring it on more often that is for sure.
