Canadians... What cell phone service is best when driving from Winnipeg to Vancouver? And, on Vancouver Island?

I understand this a very rural route. But, which service will give me the most usable contact time along this route? Is there a CDMA service available, or is it all GSM (Rogers, etc.)? Any help you have to offer will be appreciated.
