Got any positive, cheerful quotes?
I have a friend who is a bit down these days and I wanna hit her with some positive, cheerful (kinda cheesey) quotes.
I’ve all ready dropped “Unto every life, a little rain must fall (nobody said you can’t bring an umbrella).” I know it’s kinda lame, but hey, that’s my style.
Alright, Fluther-naughts, lay ‘em on me.

The sun will come out tomorrow.
What’s the difference between a pessimist and an optimist? The pessimist says “this can’t get any worse”. The optimist says “of course it can!”
My favorite is,
be happy for this moment, this moment is your life.

There are hundreds of languages in the world, but a smile speaks them all.
Every day is a fresh page in the book of your life.
@thriftymaid There are well over 7,000 languages in the world and in many cultures, the baring of ones teeth would not mean something positive ;) ;) But a charming quote nonetheless :)
@La_Guerrera_Mas_Funki Would you be so kind as to name those cultures, or at least one or two? I mean, if studies show an infant smiling in the womb, I’d be inclined to believe that smiling is a species thing involving all of humanity. A smile without teeth is still a smile.

@Trillian I was just being fresh :D That was a toothy smile.
Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but every today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
@Trillian That was good. Definitely the best use of a parentheses (singular form?) that I’ve seen yet! ;)
When someone does something good, applaud! You will make two people happy.

Dear Lord, keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth. Amen.
My friend Jerry always says
“When you’re feeling low, milk a cow. Feeling low is how you milk a cow!”
What was that one Emily Dickinson poem? Rushing to Google..
Ah, yes!
“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I’ve heard it in the chilliest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me. ”

Life is nasty, brutal, and short. Thank God—it might have been nasty, brutal, and long.
