Razor or Laser focus?
Which is it? When you mean that someone is very focused, are they razor focused or laser focused?

The traditional figure-of-speech is “razor-sharp,” but while I had my back turned, someone might have invented something using laser.
In any case, you can’t focus a razor. “Razor-sharp” can be taken literally or figuratively but I would not use it as a synonym for “focused.”
Laser focus. Razors are for cutting, lasers pinpoint. I like to pinpoint my focus and prefer to cut with a knife.
They are just focused,,,no need for distracting words to describe it ;)
I’m with Lucille…I’ve never heard razor or laser focus. Locked in, sharp focus, things like that, maybe.
And “cutting edge” is used for an external thing…technology or the best mouse trap.
