When i drink coffee it seems like i have to pee every five minutes. I can drink water all day long or even pop, and not have to pee for hours. Why just coffee?

Cos coffee is a diuretic!
B/c it is a stimulant and stims speed up your body’s functions.
Because it’s also an irritant to your kidneys.
I can also drink tea, and im fine.
Whether or not you’re fine has nothing to do with it. Coffee is a stimulant and a diuretic. Maybe the amount of caffeine in the tea you drink is smaller that what is in the coffee.
Caffeine wakes up your system. The acids in it might be a little irritating, but not enough that you feel irritated.
@Trillian .. is there a reason you told me twice?
Coffee, like beer, is a diuretic.
I love coffee, but if i drink it i have to make sure im not going anywhere for at least 3 hours.
Coffee has been found to NOT be a diuretic unless consumed in huge quantities.
It also does not dehydrate.
ok so is it or is it not a diuretic?
this is why I stick to Margaritas…far less pee involved.
I learned how to spell diuretic today!
Because it’s fun to pee, especially on someone. Heck I peed on a celebrity once, Bobby Trendy, he’s sort of a celeb.
I’m going to add to my answer with a question. Do you drink coffee without food?
It’s a liquid and will not make you pee any more than any other liquid; it doesn’t for me anyway.
caffiene causes the small muscles that hold your pee back to work overtime, causing more pee breaks
