Where is Elmsford? I would ask friends about their jobs and see if anything that they know about interests you. When I was 15 I worked a variety of jobs. Flower shop, yogurt shoppe, fast food, tax office (to accept paperwork during tax time in the office). Just look around, but you will have to look at jobs that you don’t need a high school diploma for- so $ may or may not be the best….but usually, if you’re good, you can work your way up.
oh and for some jobs you have to be 16, so that may be a barrier too
When I was that age, I was groundskeeper of the local cemetery in the summer. Pay was good, but opening graves was work.
Start mowin’ lawns at 20 bucks a pop.
15 minutes looking for a job and you got distracted by Fluther?
Good luck pal. The topic “job hunting” should be changed to “distractions”.
When I was your age, I made a decent amount of money working part time at a local restaurant as a hostess. Nowadays, Jamba Juice and Starbucks are popular high school student employers in my home town.
Wow didn’t know there was hatters on fluther…
You need at least 100 lurve before getting a real answer
be a pet walker. And also clean the dog poo out of people’s yards everybody hates doin that. lots of kids make great money doing that.
You got to get a special permit since your fifteen, I think, then just go anywhere, try a movie theater, they tend to hire easy and it’s a good place to start.
Elmsford is in NY, about an hour north of NYC, in Westchester County. Its a village next to the city of White Plains.
Find a “mom & pop” business” in town and ask them if they need any help. Summer is coming up in a few months and some places will surely need another hand, even if it’s only until August. Small businesses don’t always have to have strict rules like large corporations do when it comes to hiring minors.
