What do you think of this video?

Asked by Bugabear (1712points) March 24th, 2010

A video game show built a perfect replica of “The Pit” from the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign. They then got a real operator to run through the course with a live weapon to time how fast he could do it. And meanwhile they have another guy in a tent play the same level with a 360 and time him how long it takes.

Here’s a link to the video.

I think those who collaborated understand that high quality at a reasonable price will earn you a very handsome profit for the rest of your life. Incredible graphics.

Not bad… for a game with no consequences.

Haha that’s pretty cool. I’d like to know where each persons hits landed and whether they were all lethal shots.

Great comparison between game and reality. I’m surprised at how well the game imitated real life conditions. The difference in time was incredibly tiny!

Awesome video.

I with @RandomMrdan. How accurate were the shots when compared to each other? And this part is just me: its never the same, no matter how good the simulation is. Did someone get dirt in there eyes? How well does the video game imitate endurance? Again, just me.

I think the most interesting part is the guy on the Xbox had played through the level before where as the SAS guy didn’t. And the guy in the tent had an automatic weapon but the SAS guy had a 22.lr converted MP5. Interesting to see the operators style for something like that.

@Bugabear, the SAS guy had a GSG-5.
