I may be inheriting an older PS3 in the near future. What all can I do with it? I’m mainly interested in media center applications such as Netflix and Blu-ray. Can I do any streaming with my iTunes or MacBook? Any good sites with hacks or ideas? Thanks!

If you have a Macbook, I would just invest in the cables to hook it up to your TV. Then your macbook can be a way more ultimate player than a PS3. I don’t know about playstation, but my Macbook streams Netflix way better than my XBox360. And it does everything else.
There is a new usb adapter that you can stream any media from. With a ps3 you can also manage pics, install the linux operating system so you could use it as a computer. Besides the fact there are some great games for ps3 also.
Netflix will send you a free disc that will allow you to stream Netflix Instant Queue movies. You can also hook up to your computers via wireless, but I haven’t tried that yet. Street Fighter IV ain’t bad either….
