I thought they can hear them move. That, and they have very sharp eyes.
Thanks for the link AstroChuck.
I think so too, Snowberry. Thanks.:)
Robins and other birds, cock their head sideways to hear better when they’re standing on soil.
@YoH
You said cock. LOL…
I noticed Robins do cock their head sideways and zero in on the target right before the tug.
Thank you.
@AstroChuck Thanks for the link and the answer. @azlotto Thanks for the great question. I have always wondered about that too.
They only tell the first half of a knock-knock joke & wont tell the punchline unless the worm comes up to hear it. Thats also how I get my dog to come back inside after each potty break.
@azlotto Yes I did say cock. Maybe that’s not a recognisable usage of the word for everyone? I live with a cock (male) rooster – so maybe I’m a little doodled :) ~YoWelcome
@YoH…Have fun and enjoy life…I do…LOL
Do you like pickled eggs, and r u a female?...What kind of a strange question is that?
The same way middle aged divorcees find a penis,stealth.
I notice that they stand at the edge of my garden while I till it. It saves them a lot of work if I dig them up. It feels a little funny though; like I am the morning’s entertainment.
If I am not around, they feel the worm’s movements with their feet and I expect that they hear and see the too. I know that the have no trouble seeing them after I loosen the soil.
@ucme…lol…This is true…Thanks for your reply.
@Ron_C…Opportunistic animals they are…Thanks for your reply.
@azlotto I noticed that the robins around my house look exceptionally fat.
@Ron_C…Yup…same here, it’s like they got big beer guts.
