Can you suggest an oral surgeon in Connecticut, USA?
Joy of joys, I have to have my wisdom teeth taken out. I’ve never had any oral surgery, and would appreciate suggestions for the best oral surgeons near New Haven and Hamden, CT.

If you have dental insurance coverage, check with your provider for a referral.
You can also check patient feedbacks of particular doctors and dentists at HealthGrades.com
I can suggest the Yellow Pages.
You will likely not be able to make an appointment directly with an oral surgeon. You will need to have a dentist’s referral in order for any oral surgeon to take your appointment. Go to your dentist and ask for a referral. If you don’t trust your dentist’s advice, perhaps you should find a new dentist.
@lilikoi Unfortunately, the answer to this question is often see what happens. I had a dentist I trusted to send me to an oral surgeon he trusted for a root canal. The guy asked me questions he expected me to answer with a block in my mouth, and then the dam he put in the back of my mouth started my gag reflex so I started to choke while he was working on me. Then he gave me a trash can to throw up in that had some nauseating chemical he’d put in there. Bottom line: He traumatized me and never inquired if I was OK or apologized. What a jerk.
I told my dentist about my experience, and he said he’d never heard anything bad about him before.
@njnyjobs has a good suggestion, but if they’re new or nobody’s ever posted any comments you won’t know.
I
if only you were from long island, i’m totally biffed out with a couple oral surgeons here.
