I don’t think so. It looks more comfortable to me. What do you think?

it’s kinda goofy
...but wear whatever you want ;)
You will be all rebellious and cool and that is always a total babe magnet.
For “French random people”, people with socks in their sandals are 99% German haha, quiet funny to see, but since I’m French, I can only give my own point of view about this.
Depends what kind of socks and what kind of sandals, totally.
Socks with sandals is one of the ultimate “never evers” of fashion.
:P
I’d love to slap the socks off of any sandal wearer. Why don’t you just go ahead and wear a plaid top with striped pants while you are at it. Fashion disaster.
No point in wearing sandals then, I guess!
I may have to re-think my wardrobe.
I think it looks uncomfortable, but to each his own.
how bout a bowtie to go with the socks and sandals? maybe then a cap with the propellers on top?
Let’s ignore the fashion and go straight to the logic. Socks are intended to keep your shoes from smelling funky due to a sweaty foot being stuffed into a confined and closed space. Sandals are supposed to open your feet to the fresh air while giving protection from the ground. Wearing socks negates the entire point of wearing sandals.
A stocking…sorry.. shocking faux pas.Certainly not kool & the gang.
No. Don’t blame the sandals.
But the wearer should be shot on sight by the Fashion Police.
What about if they were a pair of those Roman type sandals, that lace up over the calf? That would be okay then, right?
T O U R I S T _ _ _ _ _ _ in capital letters !
I personally think it looks hideous.
I don’t find it an attractive look, myself. On the other hand, if it’s between a pair of socks or this, I’ll take the socks, thanks.
@aprilsimnel Is that your favorite pastime on the internet ? Looking up images to gross me out ? D;
No, never ever! Get a pedicure and be done with it!
It looks stuuuuuuuuipd!!!!
@mangeons – What can I say? My day isn’t complete until I do! ;)
@aprilsimnel Stop bullying me or I’ll tell the principal on you! /tear :(
Aw, gee! I’m sorry. Here.
I have no more fashion sense than Mother Nature gave to a flea and I know better than to wear socks and sandals!
Here in the epicenter of the Lyme tick, we ignore any fashion police and protect ourselves from the horrible diseases caused by tick bites. Who cares? We even tuck our pants into the socks when gardening.
And we tend to sneer at people who are in thrall to uncomfortable fashion statements.
No matter what kind of sock it is, it does not look good with sandals.
Just my opinion though. :)
@gailcalled I guess if I were that worried about deer ticks then I wouldn’t be wearing sandals outdoors anyway, would I?
I love the combination for comfort! My feet tend to get too hot during the winter, but socks worn with sandals solves most problems. My feet are protected from rocks and shallow water, and the socks keep just enough warmth to keep my toes from turning blue. In the summer I don’t wear socks because they make my feet too warm, but if the weather turns cold, you will see me sporting nice, clean socks in nice sandals. And the fashion police can go worry about someone elses’s feet. Mine are fine!
@CyanoticWasp: After I finish gardening, I can ditch the socks, roll down my jeans and wear my sandals to town.
I usually keep a pair of white anklets (I fancy the kind with lace trim) in my purse at night in case the temperature plummets. Easy enough to wear with sandals then.
Why on earth would anyone care? I always wear socks to protect my feet.
lol, personally not my favorite! but do what you want!
I guess it depends on whether you’re in Japan or a Japanese household. As they say, when in the proverbial Rome. . .
