Which is the best cellphone out there right now?
I am about to upgrade my Nokia flipfon. i am perfectly happy with my current flipfon, except i need a larger screen and a phone with some volume on the speakerphone. i must be going blind and i already wear hearing aids, so whats the best out there? is a Samsung cellphone any good?

Well, first it depends on what network you are currently on (i.e. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint…).
I’m on AT&T and would never think of having any other phone than the iPhone. It’s the most I’ve ever loved an electronic device before.
I have T-Mobile service and have for eleven years. i am not looking for fancy gadgets. i just want a dependable flipphone that i can see the screen and hear the speakerphone. my upgrade at T-Mobile will give me a phone free, so whats it gonna be?
If you are going to stay with a GSM provider (t-mobile) consider a quad-band unlocked phone. This will allow the most flexibility and future options.
Motorola droid, its a little big, but the interface is so robust that it has nearly replaced my desk top pc, (I am curently using my droid) in addition to sleek and efficient phone/texting features. But it is expensive
You don’t have a lot of choice from the free flip phone line from T-mobile, but if you must, I would suggest getting the Sony Ericsson Equinox. This is a very durable phone and we actually use them in commercial vehicle tracking application with its GPS feature and 3G capability. Additionally, it’s 3.2 mp camera is superior over most freebie flip phones out there. .. it’s a Quad-band phone good for international travel. Has video recording and playback capabilities, Stereo bluetooth music player can replace your old Walkman or simply tune in to your favorite FM station with the built-in FM radio…. Plus you have your choice of black or blue color.
I don’t know what it’s like in the States, but the iPhone and blackberry dominate the market here in Canada
Thanks everyone. going to my T-Mobile store today to check it out. i have had really good luck with Nokia phones. one rode with me in my police car for many years and its still ticking.
My husband spent at least a month researching…decided on the Droid (there are a few droids out there…it’s the good one, not the cheaper one). He really likes it so far.
