Why are dental braces and/or squinting eyes appealing or a turn-on to some?

It is to me, and in my lifetime i have heard several others stating that they have the same: men or women who wear dental braces are/ can be a turn-on for them.
If not a turn-on, it makes that i (and others) feel sympathetic towards them.
Also people with (light) squinting eyes have that effect.
Is there an explanation for this?

I don’t know about squinty eyes, but my boyfriend had braces for several years and I always thought it made him look really cute and innocent. His 9th grade picture is adorable and it fully shows his braces. Now, I’m glad he doesn’t have them anymore, but I liked it at the time. lol. I associate braces with kids. Anyone older with them just looks odd to me.

Wasn’t thinking of her so much, more, for instance, of Bobby Batista, the news-anchor from CNN from some years ago.
Braces don’t do it for me,but Clint Eastwood does ;)
Different folks, different strokes.
I think, as @dominicx said, the braces thing might have something to do with the look of youth, since generally people have braces as pre-teens or teenagers.
I find endearing cosmetic flaws and body modification to be hot.
