Does anyone know some great 50's or 60's horror/scifi films?
Like War of the World or On the Beach. I think they’re funner and more interesting than some stuff out today. It can be from any country, somewhere within the 50’s or 60’s, and maybe a link or description would be great.

No, I have never been able to sit through one without bursting into laughter. I believe that they used to scare the girls though.
The Thing From Another World
The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
Village of the Damned
Creature from the Black Lagoon
The Little Shop of Horrors
Them!
Day the World Ended
The Last Man on Earth
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Curse of Frankenstein
The Blob
The Fly
The Tingler
All of these are considered horror and sci-fi.
In Britain from the mid 50’s right through to the seventies Hammer Horrors produced many classic movies.Dracula,Frankenstein,Werewolf to name a few.Legends of the cinema started out here, Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee made their name in such movies.I wouldn’t say they were great movies but well worth a watch.
Yeah, “The Blob”!!! And definitely “Creature from the Black Lagoon.” And just about anything with Bela Lugosi or Lon Cheney (Jr.or Sr.) And don’t forget “The Spider.”
I remember a young Steve Mcqueen making his debut in The Blob.I hasten to add well before my time. I just recall hearing about it okay!!
Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.
When I first saw the marquee for this movie it looked like this: Attack Of The 50FT Woman.
As we were driving by it looked like it said, Attack of the SOFT Woman. :-p
Killer Tomatoes will have you sweating in your seat.
Anything by Lon Chaney jr. is classic scary stuff and a great place to start.
And don’t forget that incredible classic, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! : D

The Beginning Of The End (with the climatic ending of cockroaches climbing a picture of a building).
