Would this make a great movie?
Ever sense I saw the movie “Misery” It gave me an idea for a movie similar to it only in this one it would be about a successful, famous young business woman who for one has never seen her father and has always wondered where he is and who he is. She is on her way to newyork to star on the “David Letterman Show” When her car runs out of gas in front of a massive manison in the middle of no where. She goes to the house to borrow the phone when she is drugged by a man who turns out to be her father which she learns later on and her biggest fan. After drugging her he hides her in his cold basement where she is tortured, molested, taken for all she is worth. She then has to find a way to get out of the mess she is in only she never gets out. Would this make for a great horror movie? I would have Steve Martin star in this movie as the obssessed fan

And the successful businesswoman is played by Britney Spears?
The father, does he know that he captured his daughter?
That would be a bit freaky, in my opinion.
@benrebbeldrew yes he does know she’s his.
@benmorenomelissa1drewim
Okay.
Then i think it needs to get a (bit) clear as to why he does what he does to her.
Otherwise we are not going to like him much.
It’s sounds like a horrible movie to me.
You see i was hooked then you bring Steve Martin into it & went & spoiled it.I’d have Donald Trump as the fan.Now that would be creepy.
Steve Martin?? No, no…..totally the wrong casting. The audience doesn’t want someone so beloved as an evil bastard. He can’t pull it off, and won’t be able to convince them, anyway.
I do LOVE it that her kidnapper is her father AND the biggest fan. That has all kinds of room for some seriously fucked up cross layering and interplay, and that’s before he learns that she’s his daughter. Once he meets up with her, the sky is literally the limit. I can see huge conflicts of emotion and confusion on his face. Seriously mental. Awesome.
I’m confused on exactly how she is starring on Letterman (a cameo appearance by Letterman would be a HUGE deal. Try to get him). I don’t know how she became a star. Also, is the father living in the mansion she broke down in front of? If not, where does he come from? How are you going to resolve why this man would do such a thing?
@ben-phillis-ew I am working on the details. However I feel Steve Martin would be perfect, he could pull off the role.
Steve Martin sounds intriguing. After all, I didn’t think Robin Williams could pull off creepy. Just make it a generic night show; going on the Letterman show just makes it sound like one of those nightmares that’s more odd than scary, not to mention the industry ramifications.
@an-phillis-en First off David Letterman would not be making an apperance and she became a star from her online store sales and books. Yes her father is living in the mansion. He owns it because it was willed to him by his grandmother. This man is crazy that is why he does what he does period.
Late Shows are a dying format anyway…
@MorenoMelissa1 Cool! I love the author angle. The backstory for how the dad came to live in the mansion is awesome! I think you’re onto something here. Please be exceptionally careful who you share your ideas with, and how many know about it. Screenwriting is a highly cutthroat business. Will you let us know how it goes?
@tim-phillis-ewen I will keep you up to date, and yes I will be extra carefull.
It sounds good, except instead of “David Letterman Show”, you should have her going to star in the “David Betterman Show.”
@davidbetterman The David Betterman Show? I am curious what is this show about?
@MorenoMelissa1 The show is about hot sexy women who also have brains and work in bookkeeping/librarian type jobs in the daytime, but at night they throw off the shackles of their putative wallfloweriness and become wild sexual predators stalking and subduing men for their own pleasure and…well, you get the picture!
@davidbetterman I have procured my pink maribou feather-lined cuffs and am reporting for duty as ordered….SIR! < precision salute, heel click>
