I'm thinking about starting a cleaning business, do any of you own one and have hints?

Depends,,,what will you be cleaning,homes, offices,,,, You might want to do some research make sure the market in your area is not over saturated in that specific field!

I think your best bet is to get a little business plan together. Meaning what type of cleaning are you prepared to do? To which scale as well. This would further move your business plan to things like staff, cleaning object requirements and costs. More importantly how do you plan to market your business? Would you register it as a sole proprietor business or a close corp? Also check what @Pretty_Lilly says is there a market available etc.,

I remember watching a program on TV about extreme cleaners, for those types of cleaning jobs no one likes. Perhaps Google that. There may be a market and it is easy to link to say the Police, or other Government Offices in charge of that.

Also check the net for business plan formats, that may help you a lot.
