Yes, there should. Some questions you just look at them and think “dude, seriously… ever heard of freaking Google?”
Ugh.
This question has already been answered as a matter of policy. Please see the guidelines.
LOLLL, yeah, that may be an excellent idea.
Ah – we would miss so many exciting opportunties for saying it in our own individual sarky ways then. Would take away half the fun of Fluther.
@janbb Thank you, that is a very good point. I feel brighter now…
I’ll put that in right next to the “Don’t be an asshole” button on responses. ~
Oy, @andrew, what would happen to me then?
Oh Andrew, I love that idea. It would save me so much time not having to write all those PMs!
@andrew While you’re at it, could you also include a “That’s what she said” button?
@Cruiser, Liked it. Bookmarked it. Will use it. Thank you.
@Cruiser I sw that once here before. How do you get the cursor to type what you want? Whatever it was, Fluther was not the word. I love that!
@Cruiser That’s too damn funny.
@andrew Beside all those buttons you’re going to add, how about “good God! Grow up!!!”
How about a “That’s what I said only first and better” button?
I’m prepared to pay. Homage. Lip service. Uh… a new snare for your drum set. Pancake?
@Trillian Your offer of a pancake is under serious consideration!
“Let me google that for you” is kind of a dick move, but it does discourage easily googleable questions.
There’s a sort of self regulating balance there albeit a caustic one.
So in that case, a “google it yourself” button would be kind of a “being a dick” button.
I’m waiting for the Free Taco button, personally.
I’m always conflicted about putting a link as my answer. Guess I should go and revisit the guidelines to be sure. I do a quick Google and toss the link out there with a sentence or two.
