What are some memorable customer service moments from film?
I’m taking a customer service class as part of preparation for my AAT in Pharmacy Tech. The first night, my teacher showed the clip from Meet the Parents when Ben Stilller is trying to get on the plane and the lady at the desk won’t let him board until she’s called his row. She said she’d have more like that.
I get to pick one of the “10 most unwanted” types of people to deal with for an end-of-term presentation and I wanted to put some video in it. What are some good movies I could look to?

Watch “Clerks”.
Randall going to the good video store so he can get a good movie is brilliant.
That is awesome. I have no ideas for you, but that is the most awesome project i’ve ever heard of. I’ve done customer service over a decade and it is a roller coaster ride.
many blessings.
@Captain_Fantasy stole my answer.
In a sort of indirect way, how about Cast Away? He gets shipwrecked yet still retrieves the FedEx packages from the water.
Eugene Levy as the Bloomingdale’s salesman in Serendipity. “I told you, sir, you cannot come on this side of the counter.” Hilarilously officious!
Jack. Oh, Jack. Jack’s at the diner. And he wants to make substitutions. No substitutions! And that’s the fact, Jack!
I Am Sam – when they go to the burger place and he asks for his favorite breakfast and gets mad when they don’t have it saying “the customer is always right! the customer is always right!!”
Train, Planes and Automobiles. Steve Martin encounters the worst of the worst car rental ticket agents> “Frankly, sir, you are fucked.”
Edit: You know, I just looked at the clip to post here and frankly the car rental agent was a saint compared to ol Stevie> check it out here
Not from a film, but the Seinfeld episode where they are at the car rental place is hilarious; “Anyone can take a reseravation, the point is to hold the reservation.”
Waiting is rife with moments like this.
@aprilsimnel: Five Easy Pieces is the first thought I had. But you got there first. Nicely done.
I love the scene in Best In Show when Parker Posey goes into the pet store to find a dog toy. “That’s the least like a bee.” Makes me laugh every time.
Oh, well, if we’re gonna go there, then, there’s this, this and this!
Also in Seinfeld, the soup nazi. “No soup for you”
