I wanna get some help on deciding if I should give it a try.

no no don’t inflict that on anybody
Don’t do it. Probably whatever they told you is misleading, it will be much more difficult and annoying than you think to make any money.
Typically it’s a Ponzi scheme. You buy some crap to sell, but simply stack it in your basement. Because it’s crap. And you make money if you persuade enough people to pile a similar amount of crap in their basements.
Well, it exists so I’d have to say that, yes, I believe in it. That would be like saying “I don’t believe in abortion.” Abortion exists, so your belief or disbelief avails you nothing. You could say “I don’t believe in aliens.” and no one can prove their existence, so that would be a safe statement to make. Do you see?
Would I have anything to do with MLM? No.
yeah. but how come it exists if it’s not being effective?
That is not my problem. Existence is not indicative of efficacy.
In believe multilevel marketing is an excellent concept…
...in theory.
The companies I’ve participated with offered excellent products and services as well as excellent opportunities to earn residual income. The difficulty lies in your ability to not only sell the product or service, but in getting other people to duplicate your actions.
You may find potential prospects to be extremely adverse to risking time, money and effort pursuing anything they see as a scam, they may potentially lose money on or may potentially expose them to embarrassment or ridicule.
Useless you’re associated with a lot of highly motivated, well-heeled individuals, I’d advise you to pass on multilevel marketing opportunities.
“how come it exists if it’s not being effective?”
Because there are people who will get involved in it. There are many ineffective things in this world that still exist simply b/c people pay attention to them.
