While I commend @chels for giving flutherites the opportunity to rant in a controlled and acceptable manner, I equally would be interested to know what’s not bothering you right now. What things are tickling you pink these days?
—For me (amongst other things) it’s this link I recently found in ‘My Account’ under ‘What is lurve?’.

She is doing a pretty damn good job at it right now.
And my dog makes me smile everyday too.
My husband recording another song right now.
@Vunessuh -Aw!!! The check is in the mail! :)
Heheh….you don’t wanna know….
This past weekend I spent 4 days at my Fortress of Solitude, and we saw snow fall there for our first time. By morning, we had several inches on the ground, and we could see the wild turkey tracks in the snow. It was beautiful, and I was so happy to have that place. I can’t wait to retire there.
I’m enjoying the crap out of watching a documentary about the Shakers on my netflix right now.
I’m completely and totally in love with the most amazing person I have ever met.
I finally feel like I can finally just be myself without caring what anyone else thinks.
I’m in a new place that I’m absolutely in love with.
I can’t wait to move.
I super excited for things to progress over the next few months.
I’m learning Python which I really love.
I’ve just realized how much I miss writing, so I wrote, and it felt so good.
I’ve realized where “home” really is.
It’s 4 a.m. and at this exact moment in time I’m so genuinely happy I could cry.
Chatting with out of state friends.
Looking at my bf’s butt as he walks around he’s clothed.
Laughing at a friend who tattled my secret nickname is “Awesome Breasted———-”.
I’m laughing at an answer I gave to a question. It brought back some wonderful memories. Rather than posting a link, I’m just copy and pasting it here.
I find this activity entirely fulfilling. I do it every summer. Here’s a great way to have some fun…But you either need a kid of your own, or a nephew or a niece or two to borrow, or maybe a neighbor child, and the family cat.
Hand the kid a bottle with a good lid on it, and ask them to go out and hunt grasshoppers. Tell them to fill the bottle up with as many as they can, and bring it back. Then you pop the kitty in an (empty) bathtub with shower doors, shut them, and sprinkle in the grasshoppers. It’s the very best entertainment ever!
You and your borrowed kids will laugh yourselves silly watching the cat. It’s the greatest fulfillment ever. If no kids are available you can catch the grasshoppers yourself, but it’s not as much fun. The cat will have fun too.
Edit: I’ve tried to find adults who will do this activity with me, but I’ve never been able to. Not exactly sure why. Anyway, that’s why I need to borrow kids these days (I’m a grandmother, and too far away from my own grandkids to borrow them).
I’m happy that I’m living another day! It lets me know that I still serve some purpose for existence. Also everytime I see little children they make me smile, I try to remember myself at that age…
I’ve got an awesome opportunity to work and travel coming up, and all of the possibilities are running through my head. I’m practically ecstatic about it.
I’ve decided that I’m definitely doing this while I’m there.
@Trillian Done! Let’s just hope I don’t get thirsty and drink it on my way back. :)
The fantastic timing of this question to show up now! ;-)))))
@snowberry
What fun! My version of that has been to shut the kitty behind sliding shower doors, turn on the faucet, stand on top of the toilet tant and spray the kitty from above with the shower hose. Their eyes do something like this o_O
When a fluther question goes to Meta…
We had beautiful weather last week during Spring Break. My daughter and I spent every day of her break at the park. It was very relaxing, and it put me in a good place emotionally.
My oldest son will be graduating high school the end of May, in the top 10%. I am so proud of him. He also gets to travel to Germany, Switzerland and Austria for 3 weeks for a student exchange the beginning of June. We were worried the past several months that he wouldn’t be able to go due to financial reasons, but a last minute miracle happened, now he gets to go!
@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities I sooo want to do that! How fun! :)
It’s a pity that most adults have forgotten how to play…
And one of my daughters is moving to Japan to study for 8 months. Bitter sweet time for us.
I’m going to Simon and Garfunkel with my daughter and her friends May 2!

This always puts a smile on my face.
I currently have someone tickling my backside with a feather. That’s making me smile in a perverted type of way. At least she’s good looking so that’s a plus.
My kids, every day. Thank God for that.
@py_sue LOL…Thanks…That put a smile on my face…:P
The Flying Penguin video puts a smile on my face everytime!
After spending about 45 minutes, I managed to sort out my transportation situation for my summer school session. Lots of public transportation.
and it wasn’t just as simple as “Take train X->Y and then Y->X.” because my last class ends at 10pm and the last train leaves at 9:10. And because I’m taking classes at 2 different campuses.
Makes me very happy.
And in the “what’s bothering you?” question I mentioned jury duty. Today I went in, they had no case to give me, so I got to go home (I even picked up some Wendy’s, with a Frosty!) and I’m in the clear for at least another year.
Makes me happy as well.
There’s a raging wind and snow outside. I am warm, fed and comfy in my bed.
Reading all of this has really made me smile, along with the fact that it’s already Friday where I live – yipee!
XOIIO Drew my attention to this silly video, which really made me smile.
My latest crochet project is coming along nicely. I’ve run out of things to make for Hubbs and I so this one is a gift. Very exciting!
