The hardware is announced a couple of weeks before the new phone comes out. The software is announced months earlier, to give third party app developers time to update their programs. This is the same thing that happened last year.

Not necessarily, the focus was on the OS (hello multi-taksing); I’ve actually been of the mind that they might not do much with iPhone hardware (maybe a couple moderate improvements to battery, performance, capacity) this year as it could cut into their iPad sales. Keep an eye out mid july to end of august that’s been their launch window in the past if I recall correctly.

Yea, I’m just upset I don’t get multitasking on the my old azz phone. I guess I’ll just hold out ‘til July :/

Man I hope the latest iPhone model really rocks when my contract runs out. It’s kind of nice watching it get better and better and not having one.
