Can anyone help me sync music on my new phone from my iTunes not my Windows Media Player?

Asked by sjmc1989 (5499points) April 10th, 2010

I just bought a LG Chocolate Touch and I figured out how to sync my music onto it fairly quickly, but the problem is that it only lets me sync music from Windows Media Player (which I rarely use anymore) and not my iTunes. So unfortunately I can’t put any of the new music I have purchased on my phone. Can anyone tell me how I can get it to use iTunes instead of Windows? When I go on iTunes my device does not even show up on the side panel. I don’t know if this is more of a computer or phone problem, but either way if anyone could offer me some advice I would appreciate it!

iTunes will only sync to apple players – iPods iPhones and now ipads so you can’t use iTunes to sync music to the LG.

If you have windows 7 you could use windows media player to transfer music to the phone as it has support mp4’s.

I don’t think so. Apple is pretty exclusive – it’s likely they’ll only sync music with the iPhone.

However, you can probably copy the music over from your iTunes library via the file in your music folder and manually put it in your phone.

However I don’t know much about the Chocolate so that may or may not be an option.

Good luck!

Does it support DoubleTwist?

I concur. Apple stuff only works with other Apple stuff.

Sure, Apple products integrate well, but as soon as you put any non-Apple stuff into the mix, you break the whole thing. LG =/= Apple, therefore it follows that you are basically asking for the impossible.

Either get an iPhone or go back to WMP.

Thanks everybody! I did a little investigating and I found out how to convert my purchased iTunes songs into WMP and then was able to add them to my Windows Library. Thank you so much for all of your responses though! Lurve for all!
