I'd like to eat more seafood and I know that salmon can be rather healthy. Care to share your favorite (healthy) salmon recipe?

The only salmon I eat in Sushi, or else the smoked salmon with capers, cream cheese, and bagels (obviously, I don’t take advantage of its healthiness)
I just put garlic salt, dill weed & Mrs. Dash on them, spray them good with Pam & put them in the broiler. Quick, easy & delicious. Be sure to use salmon that still has the skin on it. That’s where all the good flavor is. Salmon without the skin is pretty tasteless. I cook this a lot. It’s very good.
My son lives in Seattle and we have been fishing in Alaska. talk about some fantastic food dishes with fresh salmon? my son has it all. our last fishing trip, we caught 36 pounds of dressed salmon. fresh frozen and sent back home to Tennessee. nothing better on the planet that a fresh real salmon fillet, seasoned with only black pepper and lemon.
I good quality Atlantic Salmon Steak, covered in fresh lime or lemon and HEAPS of cracked pepper and a bit of salt….stick it in the oven. (just sitting on baking paper, dont wrap it in foil or anything like that)
Bake some sweet potato, mushroom and onion lightly sprayed with olive oil and sprinkled with rosemary in the same oven.
Add some baby spinach, parsley, feta cheese and cherry tomatoes to a bowl.
take the salmon out of the oven, cut it into bite sized bits, and add it along with your baked veges to the bowl.
Add your favourite low fat dressing (mayo, a bit of lemon juice and sweet chilli mixed together is a real winner)....and then you have the best salad in the world…trust me :)
I’ve never grilled salmon before, but if you’d like to try something different:
I pan-fry it in olive oil, margarine, lemon pepper, black pepper and garlic salt. It tastes pretty incredible. Throw some veggies in the same pan like asparagus, squash and/or zucchini for a side dish. It’s simple, flavorful and doesn’t take long at all to cook.
Uberbatman recommended this recipe to me. It is not grilled, but it does look pretty healthy to me (it makes use of a good amount of herbs). He has made it and told me it came out wonderful. I believe he has pictures too. It’s been on my recipe book list since but I haven’t made it myself yet.
We had a great way of cooking salmon by wrapping it in foil and then putting it in the dishwasher ( no tablets !! ).
The heat of the water in the washer cooked it lovely.
Picked up the idea from a BBC tv programme
@Sandydog‘s answer reminded me of the recipe for dishwasher salmon that was linked here in an older thread.
You want to make sure it’s the “good” kind of salmon. Check out this page @jjmah. They have a list of the safe fish and whatnot.
This salmon with white wine mustard sauce is one my favorite recipes. I’ve used it over and over for the past 10 years
Also, any of the other Cooking Light salmon recipes are winners. I can’t recommend them enough!
For those who are interested in the environmental impact of food choices, consider that salmon are currently being overfished to the point were they may be unable to recover naturally. See WWF and the US Fish & Wildlife Service

i saw a documentary about killer whales and they touched on the topic of farm-raised salmon and the antibiotics and pesticides that they are fed, due to the proliferation of sea lice that the farmed salmon have. it turned me off to salmon, totally.
I usually just stick it in the oven with some blackened/Cajun seasoning. You can get low-sodium seasonings at the store, or look up recipes to make your own. I freaking love salmon.
Salmon is distinctly unhealthy unless it is wild caught, in which case it is prohibitively expensive. I wouldn’t advise eating farm-raised salmon, and it’s very difficult to find anything else.
Parmesan encrusted Salmon fillets is one of my favs. Mix ½ cup bread crumbs with ½ cup Parmesan cheese add a sprinkle of garlic powder, salt, fresh ground pepper and pinch of basil. Dip salmon in milk then drag through cheese bread crumb mix bake at 450 for 8 mins a side or until golden brown. Serve with spinach risotto and favorite wine.
The recipe @PnL mentioned is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend you give it a shot. By far one of my favorite salmon dishes I’ve eaten of all time.
