Torture usually rings a bell of the tyranny of the harsh past times, but what in your opinion could be termed modern-day torture?

There was a whole controversy about this during the whole GITMO ordeal. It’s called waterboarding as well as other forms like electrocution. Torture now rings a bell of modern day torture.

@Chongalicious She will learn to love it…..we just have to imploy stricter methods of tort….......I mean…....exposure.
Waterboarding, sleep deprivation, isolation, intimidation by large dogs, tying someone’s hands above their heads for hours while making them stand naked, draping napkins soaked with so-called “menstural blood” across the Koran – yup, they all sound like torture to me. If you look at the pictures from Abu Ghraib and read the testimony from Gitmo you can get a pretty good idea.
you all have no idea what torture is if you consider waterboarding the worst thing, look up some of the horrid things that were done by other 3rd world countries.
@MarcoNJ hehehehehehe, you actually got a live view of that????
@Blackberry haha I actually hate her too! I’m just quite devious…muahahahha!!!
@Chongalicious For some reason I have liked every one of her singles that has come out. I don’t think any pop artist has had so many catchy songs all at once.

@ZEPHYRA Not that exact pic, but yes, I see that view quite often round these parts.
@janbb yes, but if it does no physical harm, can it be justified?
Rap and HipHop. Even in medieval times that would be classified as torture.
traditional torture isn’t exactly a dead practice…
@Blackberry I don’t even listen to her, I’ve just been forced to watch a couple videos and of course, the penis thing. If I heard her on the radio, i wouldn’t know. She may even be talented. I just react negatively to over hype. It was the same for me when Tom Sellick was popular. It automatically just puts my dukes up.

@anartist Torture – whether psychological or physical – has been shown to yield dubious results. I believe it is unjustifiable both on moral and pragmatic grounds.

I remember kids being especially vicious, and now I find myself teaching my 11 year old daughter to navigate those waters. Kids are meaner than hell! And they’re still that way! Where do I sign up to be a teacher? I’d be perfect.
