My iPod has gown boring and repetitive lately. When I put it on shuffle, it seems like it shuffles the same three bands. Do you guys have any suggestions of music blogs that you like, or new bands? Oh, and genre isn’t really a big deal, I’ll listen to anything once.

I highly recommend Lastfm ;)
In This Moment is metal with screaming and stuff but also has some softer songs, I like atreyu and killswitch engage as well. I like Common, black eyed peas, Jay-Z etc etc.
Hazakim <—- Messianic HipHop
I like CD Baby for finding the non-corporate-filtered stuff.
I will second Last.FM. You keep adding bands to your profile and it searches for people with similar tastes much like Pandora however it only finds things you do not have in your library.
I find new music just by listening to the radio…
@unique why a notepad? Pandora allows you to make lists of favorite artists / favorite songs from the selections they play.
Last.fm and Grooveshark are best IMO
There’s always allmusic.com. Click leads to click leads to click, finding new bands and artists by style, genre, mood, influences, who they’ve worked with, etc.
as @wtfrickinfrack suggested, Last.fm is an excellent source for finding good music.
Bands I recommend:
The Sounds
Shiny Toy Guns
Newsboys
Relient K
The Ting Tings
Lostprophets
Mates of State
I like Last.fm. Plug in an artist you like and you’ll hear tons of music of the similar style.
Tackle any 8th grader and steal their I-pod. You will find all sorts of fresh new tunes. Nothing like having free time on your hands to boost tunes off the net!
Pandora.com is my fav. (Thanks to this question, I have discovered LastFm, which drives me bonkers because I could spend a looooot of time there checking out new artists.)

I thought Pandora evolved, mixing the new with what you have a record of liking. Sorry @MrsDufresne
